We did a lot of work surrounding the indigenous ways of knowing this week for social studies. Next week, we are going to start on Tunisia. For math, we are continuing our understanding and fluency surrounding multiplication. Every day, students will have the chance to demonstrate their knowledge on the bulletin board. We had a fun writing Friday; students got the chance to design and write their own comics. As a reminder, Library Day is on Tuesdays, so please remind your students to bring their library books back so they can check out new books.

Writing - This week we continued our non-fiction writing about our animals. We have been talking about how to hook their audiences, turning facts into reacts, as well as how to write an ending.  Math - We have finished our time unit and the students had their time quiz. Students have been learning about how to read a clock in 5-minute intervals, 1-minute intervals, what AM/PM means, and how to read in 24-hour time.  Science - This was an exciting week for everyone as we went onto our field trip to Studio Bell. We also designed the instruments that we will be making next week. Thanks again to all the parent volunteers who came. Gym - For this week, we played 'Gaga Ball'. Here are some pictures from the field trip. I cannot upload a lot of them as they have student faces.
