This week we wrapped up our multiplication and division unit. Overall I think that the entire class did very well; so thank you for practicing with your students. When we come back, we will be starting our geometry unit which syncs up quite nicely with building. As for English, we finished our persuasive writing and will be moving towards story writing. For the week back, we will be making Pysanky eggs as it's a part of our Ukraine unit. If anyone has any kastkis they are willing to lend us that would be great, but I will be attempting to make some over the break. Finally, I just want to say how proud of them I am for today as a student was saying not nice things towards us, but everyone just ignored it and carried on. Reminders 1.  This week, we have started our testing materials unit. Students got a chance to explore the strength of different shapes and objects as well as build a Leprechaun house. For writing, we are finishing up our persuasive writing unit. We did have a few stops along the way to do some limericks as well as work on our revision skills. This coming week, we are going to write poems about spring as well as finish our good copies for our persuasive writing. For math, we continued with division. We have been talking a lot about the types of questions readers ask and the significance of asking questions while reading. A

We have also made a large multiplication table with all the products as well as ways to demonstrate how they achieved the answer. I have sent some students home with homework today as they did not finish in class. It should take at most 10 minutes to finish. Writing - We started our persuasive writing unit. Students learned about the structure of persuasive writing (what? why? why? why? what again?), how to use persuasive words, as well as including 3 reasons or examples in each of their whys. The topic students wrote about was whether if I should get a classroom pet and what pet should I get? Reading- For reading, we have been working on visualization. Students drew pictures of how they imagined the illustrations to be in a story. Students also came up with creative titles to book we read in class. Social Studies - We started Tunisia! Students are w
